Nevada High School Basketball - Sierra Vista held off by Basic

In Monday's non-league test, the Basic Wolves (Henderson, NV) basketball squad got by the visiting Sierra Vista Mountain Lions (Las Vegas, NV), by a score of 40-33.

Next, the Wolves encounter the Mojave Rattlers (North Las Vegas, NV) in a 4A Desert outing, on Wednesday, January 22. Basic will attempt to upgrade on its 11-6 season record. The Rattlers enter the outing with a 7-11 record after their 16-15 league loss to Sunrise Mountain (Las Vegas, NV).

The Mountain Lions (11-9) will now prepare for their outing against Green Valley (Henderson, NV). The Gators enter the 4A Mountain outing with a 5-15 record. In their last outing, Green Valley was nipped by Cimarron-Memorial (Las Vegas, NV), 47-18, in a league outing.
