The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Clopton Hawks (Clarksville, MO) and the visiting Elsberry Indians (Elsberry, MO), observed Clopton's basketball team overwhelm Elsberry by a margin of 66-35.

The Hawks (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against North Callaway (Kingdom City, MO). The Thunderbirds come into the Eastern Missouri challenge with a 8-7 record. In their last challenge, North Callaway trounced Wellsville-Middletown (Wellsville, MO), 57-37, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Indians battle the Warrenton Warriors (Warrenton, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 20. Elsberry will attempt to better on its 4-8 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 42-28 non-league win over Moberly (Moberly, MO).
