The Golden Tors (18-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Barbe (Lake Charles, LA). The Buccaneers come into the 5A District 3 challenge with a 20-2 record. In their last challenge, Barbe prevailed over LaGrange (Lake Charles, LA), 57-23, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Yellowjackets encounter the Jennings Bulldogs (Jennings, LA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 24. Iowa will attempt to improve on its 15-7 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 5-15 record after their 46-34 non-league win over North Central (Lebeau, LA).
