The Kenedy Lions basketball team scored 50 points and limited the host Yorktown Wildcats to 49 in the Lions league triumph on Monday.

The Lions now possess a 13-12 record. They play next when they host Port Aransas for a 2A Region IV District 31 game on Friday, January 24. Kenedy will play a Marlins team coming off a 43-13 league win over Three Rivers (Three Rivers, TX). The Marlins record now stands at 21-8.

With the loss, Yorktown falls to 18-10 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Refugio (Refugio, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 2A Region IV District 31 match on Friday, January 24. The Bobcats enter the match with a record of 24-4. Refugio won 74-38 in their recent league match against Pettus (Pettus, TX)
