The Bobcats come into the Central California Athletic Alliance challenge with a 7-6 record. In their last challenge, Ben Holt College Prep Academy was routed by Venture Academy (Stockton, CA), 50-47, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Riptide battle the Central Catholic Raiders (Modesto, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 23. River Islands will attempt to improve on its 3-13 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 6-12 record after their 48-47 league loss to Manteca (Manteca, CA).
