The North Mac Panthers (Virden, IL) basketball toppled the visiting Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL), 45-30 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Panthers now possess a 9-12 record. They play next when they travel to Carlinville for a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 21. North Mac will play a Cavaliers team coming off a 51-18 non-league win over Lincolnwood (Raymond, IL). The Cavaliers record now stands at 17-3.
With the loss, Southwestern falls to 7-12 on the campaign. The Piasa birds travel to Mt. Olive (Mt. Olive, IL) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 23. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 6-10. Mt. Olive lost 71-31 in their recent non-league bout against Staunton (Staunton, IL)
