In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Glenvar Highlanders basketball team scored a good 59-46 triumph over the William Byrd Terriers.
The Highlanders (9-1) will now prepare for their contest against Alleghany (Covington, VA). The Cougars go into the non-league contest with a 9-2 record. In their last contest, Alleghany topped Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA), 54-47, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Terriers confront the Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league contest, on Wednesday, January 22. William Byrd will attempt to better on its 4-10 season record. The Vikings go into the contest with a 10-2 record after their 39-33 non-league win over Cave Spring (Roanoke, VA).
