California High School Soccer - St. Paul nudges Bishop Montgomery

In Monday's league outing, the visiting St. Paul Swordsmen soccer squad scored a tight 2-1 victory over the Bishop Montgomery Knights.
The Swordsmen (8-8) will now prepare for their outing against Verbum Dei Jesuit (Los Angeles, CA). The Eagles go into the Camino Real outing with a 4-12 record. In their last outing, Verbum Dei Jesuit was edged by Cristo Rey Orange County (Santa Ana, CA), 2-1, in a non-league outing.
Next up, the Knights play the Paraclete Spirits (Lancaster, CA) in a Camino Real outing, on Wednesday, January 22. Bishop Montgomery will attempt to improve on its 10-6 season record. The Spirits go into the outing with a 2-3 record after their 1-0 league win over Verbum Dei Jesuit (Los Angeles, CA).
