The Mar Vista Mariners basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Chula Vista Spartans to 46 in the Mariners league victory on Friday.

The Mariners now sport a 4-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valhalla for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 22. Mar Vista will battle a Norsemen team coming off a 70-55 league loss to Granite Hills (El Cajon, CA). The Norsemen record now stands at 8-8.

The Spartans (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Southwest SD (San Diego, CA). The Raiders come into the South Bay contest with a 11-9 record. In their last contest, Southwest SD triumphed over Hilltop (Chula Vista, CA), 80-59, in a league contest.
