The Clarion-Goldfield/DOWS (Clarion, IA) basketball felled the visiting Webster City Lynx (Webster City, IA), 56-43 in Friday's league test.

The (11-1) will now prepare for their test against Clear Lake (Clear Lake, IA). The Lions go into the North Central test with a 9-3 record. In their last bout, Clear Lake topped Humboldt (Humboldt, IA), 55-50, in a league bout.

Next up, the Lynx clash with the Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 22. Webster City will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Tigers go into the bout with a 3-9 record after their 52-26 league win over North Polk (Alleman, IA).
