In Friday's league outing, the Grapevine Mustangs (Grapevine, TX) basketball squad edged the visiting Northwest Texans (Justin, TX), by a margin of 71-68.
The Mustangs (17-9) will now prepare for their outing against Birdville (North Richland Hills, TX). The Hawks go into the 5A Region I District 6 outing with a 16-9 record. In their last outing, Birdville held off Ryan (Denton, TX), 64-54, in a league outing.
The Texans now own a 9-15 record. They play next when they travel to Lake Dallas for a 5A Region I District 6 outing on Tuesday, January 25. Northwest will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 77-47 league loss to Colleyville Heritage (Colleyville, TX). The Falcons record now stands at 9-17.
