In Friday's league challenge, the Homer Mariners (Homer, AK) ice hockey team nudged the visiting Houston Hawks (Big Lake, AK), by a margin of 4-3.
The Mariners now possess a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Soldotna for a Railbelt challenge on Friday, January 28.
The Hawks (10-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Kenai Central (Kenai, AK). The Kardinals enter the Railbelt challenge with a 11-7 record. In their last challenge, Kenai Central tipped Palmer (Palmer, AK), 3-1, in a league challenge.
