The Alameda Hornets nipped the host Encinal Jets basketball squad by a margin of 59-54 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Hornets (16-3) will now prepare for their test against St. Joseph Notre Dame (Alameda, CA). The Pilots go into the West Alameda County - Foothill test with a 5-12 record. In their last test, St. Joseph Notre Dame was tipped by Ygnacio Valley (Concord, CA), 68-55, in a non-league test.
The Jets now own a 7-12 record. They play next when they host Mt. Eden for a West Alameda County - Shoreline test on Wednesday, January 25. Encinal will encounter a Monarchs squad coming off a 52-40 league win over Hayward (Hayward, CA). The Monarchs record now stands at 9-10.
