Connecticut High School Basketball - Cheney RVT can't hold off Avon

The Avon Falcons basketball team scored 68 points and restricted the visiting Cheney RVT Beavers to 61 in the Falcons non-league victory on Saturday.

The Falcons now sport a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newington for a non-league contest on Monday, January 23. Avon will battle a Nor'easters team coming off a 75-40 non-league win over Edwin O. Smith (Storrs, CT). The Nor'easters record now stands at 7-4.

The Beavers (7-4) will now prepare for their contest against Goodwin Tech (New Britain, CT). The Gladiators come into the Connecticut Technical - Central contest with a 4-7 record. In their last contest, Goodwin Tech was nudged by New Britain (New Britain, CT), 56-38, in a non-league contest.
