In Saturday's non-league outing, the Barrow Whalers (Utqiagvik, AK) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Chugiak Mustangs (Chugiak, AK), by a count of 67-43.

The Whalers (4-7) will now prepare for their outing against Nome-Beltz (Nome, AK). The Nanooks go into the 3A Western outing with a 9-2 record.

The Mustangs now hold a 3-6 record. They play next when they host Bettye Davis East Anchorage for a 4A Cook Inlet outing on Monday, January 30.
