Georgia High School Basketball - Benedictine topples Islands

In Saturday's league outing, the Benedictine Cadets (Savannah, GA) basketball squad beat the host Islands Sharks (Savannah, GA), by a count of 65-50.
The Cadets (9-5) will now prepare for their outing against Burke County (Waynesboro, GA). The Bears go into the AAAA Region 3 outing with a 12-5 record. In their last outing, Burke County defeated Wayne County (Jesup, GA), 37-34, in a league outing.
The Sharks now hold a 3-17 record. They play next when they travel to Southeast Bulloch for a AAAA Region 3 outing on Tuesday, January 24. Islands will clash with a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 62-52 league loss to New Hampstead (Savannah, GA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 5-13.
