Georgia High School Basketball - Bleckley County knocked off by Toombs County

January 21, 2023: Cochran, GA 31014

The Toombs County Bulldogs basketball team scored 63 points and held the host Bleckley County Royals to 53 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 11-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Brantley County for a AA Region 3 contest on Tuesday, January 24. Toombs County will battle a Herons team coming off a 60-58 league loss to Pierce County (Blackshear, GA). The Herons record now stands at 9-9.

The Royals (8-11) will now prepare for their contest against Swainsboro (Swainsboro, GA). The Tigers enter the A D1 Region 2 contest with a 5-7 record. In their last contest, Swainsboro ran past Jefferson County (Louisville, GA), 52-49, in a league contest.
