Burns Hilanders (Burns, OR) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Riverside Pirates (Boardman, OR), 48-20 in a league bout.

With the victory, Burns upgrades its record to 14-3 on the campaign. The Hilanders travel to Nyssa (Nyssa, OR) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Eastern Oregon bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a record of 4-9. Nyssa won 47-24 in their recent league bout against McLoughlin (Milton-Freewater, OR)

Next up, the Pirates play the Umatilla Vikings (Umatilla, OR) in a 3A Eastern Oregon bout, on Thursday, January 26. Riverside will attempt to upgrade on its 2-13 season record.
