The Irvington Blue Knights (Irvington, NJ) basketball nipped the visiting Caldwell Chiefs (West Caldwell, NJ), 57-53 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Blue Knights (14-4) will now prepare for their test against University (Newark, NJ). The Phoenix go into the Super Essex - American test with a 0-12 record.
The Chiefs now own a 13-2 record. They play next when they host Columbia for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 31. Caldwell will encounter a Cougars squad coming off a 61-57 league win over West Side (Newark, NJ). The Cougars record now stands at 13-4.
