The Flowery Branch Falcons basketball team (Flowery Branch, GA), was nudged 65-62 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host East Hall Vikings (Gainesville, GA)
The Vikings now possess a 5-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cherokee Bluff for a AAAA Region 8A battle on Tuesday, January 24. East Hall will confront a Bears team coming off a 89-35 league win over Johnson (Gainesville, GA). The Bears record now stands at 13-7.
The Falcons (15-5) will now prepare for their battle against Winder-Barrow (Winder, GA). The Bulldoggs come into the AAAAA Region 8 battle with a 14-8 record. In their last battle, Winder-Barrow edged Jefferson (Jefferson, GA), 64-37, in a league battle.
