Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Zeigler-Royalton Tornadoes (Zeigler, IL) and the visiting Elverado Falcons (Elkville, IL), saw Zeigler-Royalton's basketball squad knock off Elverado by a count of 60-50.

With the victory, Zeigler-Royalton upgrades its record to 4-10 on the campaign. The Tornadoes travel to Johnston City (Johnston City, IL) to play the Indians in a Black Diamond - West challenge on Friday, January 27. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 13-9. Johnston City won 49-42 in their recent non-league challenge against Anna-Jonesboro (Anna, IL)

Next up, the Falcons play the Meridian Bobcats (Mounds, IL) in a South Egyptian challenge, on Friday, January 27. Elverado will attempt to upgrade on its 9-12 season record.
