Virginia High School Basketball - Virginia Academy over Evergreen Christian

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Virginia Academy Patriots (Ashburn, VA) and the host Evergreen Christian Eagles (Leesburg, VA), saw Virginia Academy's basketball squad overcome Evergreen Christian by a tally of 73-62.

With the victory, Virginia Academy improves its record to 11-9 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD) to confront the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 25. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 16-1. Riverdale Baptist won 53-42 in their recent league challenge against Takoma Academy (Takoma Park, MD)

Next up, the Eagles confront the Legacy Christian Academy SAINTS (Stephens City, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Monday, January 23. Evergreen Christian will attempt to improve on its 7-11 season record. The SAINTS come into the challenge with a 9-9 record after their 54-41 non-league win over Bedford County CIA (Everett, PA).
