The Forreston Cardinals basketball team scored 48 points and held the visiting Oregon Hawks to 46 in the Cardinals non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Cardinals now sport a 7-15 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ashton-Franklin Center for a Northwest Upstate Illini - South contest on Wednesday, January 25. Forreston will meet a Raiders team coming off a 47-45 non-league loss to River Ridge (Hanover, IL). The Raiders record now stands at 11-10.
The Hawks (7-14) will now prepare for their contest against Amboy (Amboy, IL). The Clippers enter the non-league contest with a 3-18 record. In their last contest, Amboy was nudged by Warren (Warren, IL), 62-33, in a non-league contest.
