The Gibault Catholic Hawks (Waterloo, IL) basketball felled the visiting Marquette Catholic Explorers (Alton, IL), 60-50 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Hawks (19-4) will now prepare for their test against Red Bud (Red Bud, IL). The Musketeers go into the non-league test with a 11-7 record.
The Explorers now own a 12-12 record. They play next when they host Althoff Catholic for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 24. Marquette Catholic will encounter a Crusaders squad coming off a 82-42 non-league loss to De Smet Jesuit (St. Louis, MO). The Crusaders record now stands at 5-14.
