In Saturday's non-league outing, the Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology Lions (Paterson, NJ) basketball squad edged the visiting Hackensack Comets (Hackensack, NJ), by a count of 58-57.
The Lions (7-13) will now prepare for their outing against Manchester Regional (Haledon, NJ). The Falcons go into the non-league outing with a 7-6 record. In their last outing, Manchester Regional held off Hawthorne Christian (Hawthorne, NJ), 50-39, in a non-league outing.
The Comets now hold a 6-9 record. They play next when they host Northern Highlands for a Big North - Freedom match on Monday, January 23. Hackensack will face a Highlanders team coming off a 85-59 non-league win over Lyndhurst (Lyndhurst, NJ). The Highlanders record now stands at 6-7.
