In Saturday's league match, the host Madawaska Owls basketball squad scored a close 56-53 win over the Hodgdon Hawks.
The Owls (7-4) will now prepare for their outing against Fort Kent (Fort Kent, ME). The Warriors go into the C North outing with a 11-2 record. In their last outing, Fort Kent was tipped by Southern Aroostook (Dyer Brook, ME), 58-48, in a non-league outing.
The Hawks now hold a 4-8 record. They play next when they travel to Katahdin for a non-league outing on Tuesday, January 24. Hodgdon will clash with a Cougars squad coming off a 72-20 league win over Washburn (Washburn, ME). The Cougars record now stands at 9-4.
