In Saturday's league outing, the Seton Hall Prep Pirates (West Orange, NJ) basketball squad edged the host Immaculate Conception Lions (Montclair, NJ), by a margin of 61-60.

The Pirates (13-1) will now prepare for their outing against Arts (Newark, NJ). The Jaguars go into the Super Essex - Freedom outing with a 12-4 record. In their last outing, Arts held off North Star Academy (Newark, NJ), 40-38, in a non-league outing.

The Lions now own a 8-7 record. They play next when they travel to Seton Hall Prep for a Super Essex - American outing on Thursday, February 2.
