Arkansas High School Basketball - White County Central topped by Izard County

The Izard County Cougars basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the visiting White County Central Bears to 48 in the Cougars league victory on Saturday.
The Cougars now sport a 10-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sloan-Hendrix for a 2A Region 2 contest on Wednesday, January 25. Izard County will battle a Greyhounds team coming off a 64-34 league win over Quitman (Quitman, AR). The Greyhounds record now stands at 24-2.
The Bears (8-18) will now prepare for their contest against Quitman (Quitman, AR). The Bulldogs come into the 2A Region 2 contest with a 3-16 record. In their last contest, Quitman was defeated by Sloan-Hendrix (Imboden, AR), 64-34, in a league contest.
