Lincoln Patriots (Sioux Falls, SD) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Mitchell Kernels (Mitchell, SD), 67-66 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lincoln upgrades its record to 8-1 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Yankton (Yankton, SD) to play the Bucks/Gazelles in a AA bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Bucks/Gazelles come into the bout with a record of 5-2. Yankton won 58-47 in their recent league bout against Roosevelt (Sioux Falls, SD)

Next up, the Kernels play the Stevens Raiders (Rapid City, SD) in a AA bout, on Friday, January 27. Mitchell will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Raiders come into the bout with a 3-7 record after their 61-44 league win over Brookings (Brookings, SD).
