Rutherford Bulldogs (Rutherford, NJ) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology Lions (Paterson, NJ), 74-61 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rutherford upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Lyndhurst (Lyndhurst, NJ) to play the Golden Bears in a Northwest Jersey - National bout on Thursday, February 2. The Golden Bears come into the bout with a record of 11-4.

Next up, the Lions play the Manchester Regional Falcons (Haledon, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 23. Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology will attempt to upgrade on its 7-13 season record. The Falcons come into the bout with a 7-6 record after their 50-39 non-league win over Hawthorne Christian (Hawthorne, NJ).
