In Saturday's non-league match, the visiting South Greene Rebels basketball team scored a tight 74-70 triumph over the University Buccaneers.
In their next game, the Rebels meet the West Greene Buffaloes (Mosheim, TN) in a 2A District 1 match, on Tuesday, January 24. South Greene will attempt to move on its 5-8 season record. The Buffaloes enter the match with a 5-11 record after their 74-63 league loss to Chuckey-Doak (Afton, TN).
With the defeat, University moves to 8-7 on the year. The Buccaneers host North Greene (Greeneville, TN) to meet the Huskies in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 24.
