The Salmon River Savages (Riggins, ID) basketball nipped the visiting Cascade Ramblers (Cascade, ID), 35-32 in Saturday's league test.

The Savages (3-6) will now prepare for their test against Council (Council, ID). The Lumberjacks go into the 1A Long Pin test with a 9-6 record. In their last test, Council was tipped by Garden Valley (Garden Valley, ID), 71-35, in a league test.

The Ramblers now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they host Greenleaf Friends Academy for a non-league test on Monday, January 23. Cascade will encounter a Grizzlies squad coming off a 47-15 league win over Gem State Adventist Academy (Caldwell, ID). The Grizzlies record now stands at 13-4.
