The Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars basketball team (Zumbrota, MN), was toppled 61-46 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Chatfield Gophers (Chatfield, MN)
The Gophers now possess a 12-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rushford-Peterson for a non-league battle on Monday, January 23. Chatfield will confront a Trojans team coming off a 56-52 league loss to Hayfield (Hayfield, MN). The Trojans record now stands at 9-8.
The Cougars (8-8) will now prepare for their battle against Lourdes (Rochester, MN). The Eagles come into the AA Section 1 battle with a 12-2 record. In their last battle, Lourdes beat Pine Island (Pine Island, MN), 61-14, in a league battle.
