Corning Bobcats (Corning, AR) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Piggott Mohawks (Piggott, AR), 61-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Corning upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Bobcats travel to Gosnell (Gosnell, AR) to clash with the Pirates in a 3A Region 3 bout on Monday, January 23. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Gosnell lost 49-30 in their recent league bout against Piggott (Piggott, AR)

Next up, the Mohawks clash with the Manila Lions (Manila, AR) in a 3A Region 3 bout, on Monday, January 23. Piggott will attempt to upgrade on its 15-7 season record.
