In Saturday's league outing, the Echo Cougars (Echo, OR) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Elgin Huskies (Elgin, OR), by a margin of 59-25.
The Cougars (9-5) will now prepare for their outing against Stanfield (Stanfield, OR). The Tigers go into the non-league outing with a 16-1 record. In their last outing, Stanfield smashed Enterprise (Enterprise, OR), 54-24, in a league outing.
The Huskies now own a 5-8 record. They play next when they travel to Union for a 1A Old Oregon outing on Friday, January 27. Elgin will clash with a Bobcats squad coming off a 51-18 league win over Griswold (Helix, OR). The Bobcats record now stands at 10-8.
