In Saturday's league outing, the Williamsville East Flames (East Amherst, NY) basketball squad nipped the host Hamburg Bulldogs (Hamburg, NY), by a margin of 53-50.
The Flames (5-8) will now prepare for their outing against Mount St. Mary Academy (Kenmore, NY). The Thunder go into the non-league outing with a 4-4 record. In their last outing, Mount St. Mary Academy was tipped by Nardin Academy (Buffalo, NY), 45-38, in a non-league outing.
The Bulldogs now own a 6-4 record. They play next when they travel to Amherst Central for a Section 6 Erie County II outing on Wednesday, January 25. Hamburg will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 88-55 league loss to Williamsville South (Williamsville, NY). The Tigers record now stands at 6-6.
