Ohio High School Basketball - Orange thwarted by Hawken

The Orange Lions basketball team (Pepper Pike, OH), was toppled 61-53 in Saturday's league battle with the host Hawken Hawks (Gates Mills, OH)

The Hawks now possess a 10-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Holy Name for a non-league battle on Monday, January 23. Hawken will confront a Green Wave team coming off a 59-40 league win over Valley Forge (Parma Heights, OH). The Green Wave record now stands at 4-12.

The Lions (6-10) will now prepare for their battle against Chagrin Falls (Chagrin Falls, OH). The Tigers come into the Chagrin Valley - Chagrin battle with a 14-3 record. In their last battle, Chagrin Falls beat West Geauga (Chesterland, OH), 35-33, in a league battle.
