The Joliet Central Steelmen basketball team (Joliet, IL), was overwhelmed 66-38 in Saturday's non-league battle with the host Providence Catholic Celtics (New Lenox, IL)
The Celtics now possess a 17-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hinsdale South for a non-league battle on Monday, January 23. Providence Catholic will confront a Hornets team coming off a 43-37 league win over Willowbrook (Villa Park, IL). The Hornets record now stands at 15-10.
The Steelmen (8-14) will now prepare for their battle against Oswego (Oswego, IL). The Panthers come into the SouthWest Prairie - West battle with a 6-18 record. In their last battle, Oswego was overwhelmed by Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL), 78-33, in a league battle.
