Lithia Springs Lions (Lithia Springs, GA) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Tri-Cities Bulldogs (East Point, GA), 57-52 in a league bout.

With the victory, Lithia Springs upgrades its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Midtown (Atlanta, GA) to play the Knights in a AAAAA Region 5 bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 15-4. Midtown won 39-33 in their recent league bout against Chapel Hill (Douglasville, GA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Greenforest Eagles (Decatur, GA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Tri-Cities will attempt to upgrade on its 10-7 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 6-9 record after their 27-25 league win over Christian Heritage (Dalton, GA).
