The Pioneer Panthers (Yorkshire, NY) basketball nipped the host Olean Huskies (Olean, NY), 40-37 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Panthers (8-4) will now prepare for their test against Franklinville (Franklinville, NY). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 7-5 record. In their last test, Franklinville was tipped by Allegany-Limestone (Allegany, NY), 59-34, in a non-league test.
The Huskies now own a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Griffith Institute for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 24. Olean will encounter a Griffins squad coming off a 48-22 league win over Tonawanda (Tonawanda, NY). The Griffins record now stands at 5-6.
