    The Thayer Central Titans basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Sandy Creek Cougars to 27 in the Titans non-league triumph on Saturday.

    The Titans now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Tri County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Thayer Central will meet a Trojans team coming off a 51-38 non-league loss to Fillmore Central (Geneva, NE). The Trojans record now stands at 2-13.

    The Cougars (3-13) will now prepare for their contest against Fairbury (Fairbury, NE). The Jeffs enter the non-league contest with a 2-13 record. In their last contest, Fairbury was outscored by York (York, NE), 53-15, in a non-league contest.
