In Saturday's league challenge, the Lawrence Academy Spartans (Groton, MA) ice hockey team nipped the host Berkshire School Bears (Sheffield, MA), by a margin of 2-1.
The Spartans now possess a 8-8 record. They play next when they host Phillips Exeter Academy for a challenge on Monday, January 23. Lawrence Academy will play a Lions team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Noble & Greenough (Dedham, MA). The Lions record now stands at 5-3.
The Bears (5-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Cushing Academy (Ashburnham, MA). The Penguins come into the challenge with a 10-7 record. In their last challenge, Cushing Academy nipped Middlesex (Concord, MA), 7-0, in a league challenge.
