Pecos Panthers (Pecos, NM) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Academy for Technology and The Classics (Santa Fe, NM), 49-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Pecos upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Panthers travel to Mesa Vista (Ojo Caliente, NM) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 2-6. Mesa Vista lost 30-28 in their recent non-league bout against Escalante (Tierra Amarilla, NM)

Next up, the clash with the Dulce Hawks (Dulce, NM) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 26. Academy for Technology and The Classics will attempt to upgrade on its 14-4 season record. The Hawks go into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 65-38 non-league loss to McCurdy (Espanola, NM).
