Cocoa Tigers (Cocoa, FL) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting IMG Academy Ascenders (Bradenton, FL), 1-0 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cocoa upgrades its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Tigers host Titusville (Titusville, FL) to play the Terriers in a bout on Monday, January 23. The Terriers come into the bout with a record of 0-1.

Next up, the Ascenders play the Wesley Chapel Wildcats (Wesley Chapel, FL) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 26. IMG Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record.
