New Mexico High School Basketball - Sandia can't hold off Eldorado

The Eldorado Golden Eagles basketball team scored 58 points and held the host Sandia Matadors to 53 in the Golden Eagles league triumph on Saturday.
The Golden Eagles now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Farmington for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. Eldorado will battle a Scorpions team coming off a 68-48 non-league loss to West Mesa (Albuquerque, NM). The Scorpions record now stands at 7-2.
The Matadors (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM). The Bears enter the non-league contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, La Cueva nudged Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM), 50-49, in a non-league contest.
