The Escalante Lobos (Tierra Amarilla, NM) basketball nipped the visiting Mesa Vista Trojans (Ojo Caliente, NM), 30-28 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Lobos (4-4) will now prepare for their test against Penasco (Penasco, NM). The Panthers go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record.
The Trojans now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they host Pecos for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 24. Mesa Vista will encounter a Panthers squad coming off a 49-46 non-league win over Academy for Technology and The Classics (Santa Fe, NM). The Panthers record now stands at 8-3.
