The Mustangs come into the test with a 16-6 record after their 82-41 league win over Boys Ranch (Boys Ranch, TX).

The Matadors (6-12) will now prepare for their test against Hartley (Hartley, TX). The Tigers come into the 1A Region I District 3 test with a 5-16 record. In their last test, Hartley was overwhelmed by Pringle-Morse (Morse, TX), 67-55, in a league test.
