The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX) and the host Big Spring Steers (Big Spring, TX), observed Estacado's basketball team overwhelm Big Spring by a score of 77-20.

The Matadors (21-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Levelland (Levelland, TX). The Lobos come into the 4A Region I District 5 challenge with a 14-15 record. In their last challenge, Levelland was routed by Lake View (San Angelo, TX), 61-53, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Steers encounter the Snyder Tigers (Snyder, TX) in a 4A Region I District 5 challenge, on Friday, January 24. Big Spring will attempt to improve on its 8-16 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 6-20 record after their 102-36 league loss to Liberty (Lubbock, TX).
