In Tuesday's league contest, the host Cardinal Hayes Cardinals basketball team scored a big 80-45 triumph over the Mt. St. Michael Academy Mountaineers.

The Cardinals (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Archbishop Stepinac (White Plains, NY). The Crusaders go into the Catholic AA - New York contest with a 14-3 record. In their last contest, Archbishop Stepinac smashed St. Peter's (Staten Island, NY), 75-59, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Mountaineers confront the Iona Prep Gaels (New Rochelle, NY) in a Catholic AA - New York contest, on Friday, January 24. Mt. St. Michael Academy will attempt to better on its 1-8 season record.
