In Tuesday's league contest, the host Cayuga Wildcats basketball team scored a big 71-27 triumph over the Fruitvale Bobcats.

The Wildcats (15-11) will now prepare for their contest against Cross Roads (Malakoff, TX). The Bobcats go into the 2A Region III District 19 challenge with a 4-14 record. In their last challenge, Cross Roads was routed by Frankston (Frankston, TX), 102-30, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Bobcats encounter the LaPoynor Flyers (LaRue, TX) in a 2A Region III District 19 challenge, on Friday, January 24. Fruitvale will attempt to improve on its 14-9 season record. The Flyers come into the challenge with a 18-10 record after their 67-47 league loss to Martins Mill (Ben Wheeler, TX).
